[edit]Éditions Albert René, is claiming in court that certain IT companies whose name end in 'ix' (not unnatural in companies who work with Unix) are damaging his brands 'Asterix' and 'Obelix'.
I love Uderzo's illustrations in the Asterix comics, but somehow ths reminds me of the SCO vs. Linux fiasco... Sewing 15:39, 27 Sep 2003 (UTC)
Uderzo and Morris (Lucky Luke) have basically been putting out more or less mediocre albums since Goscinny died. David.Monniaux 15:50, 27 Sep 2003 (UTC)
- It is true that many albums aren't really that good, SPECIALLY Asterix and the Falling Sky, since the specialist on writing was Goscinny... But Uderzo can make some nice pieces of work too, like Asterix and the Black Gold. --Andrelvis 10:47, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
If you read the link provided here, it becomes clear Uderzo isn't suing all -ix companies, just the ones that are very similar to names of his characters, such as Masterix and Kobelix. Perhaps the article should reflect this. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Hertog (talk • contribs) 08:48, 30 August 2009 (UTC)
There appears to be a word (or some words) missing in the final sentence under "controversies". He sued the author of a parody based...?... into bankruptcy. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.194.148.157 (talk) 00:10, 13 May 2011 (UTC)
In a different controversy, Albert Uderzo sued a publisher of a parody into bankruptcy.
[edit]I think that can be rewritten to be more fair-sounding. At the moment it makes the plagiarist that went bankrupt appear as a victim. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.166.215.166 (talk) 19:16, 7 August 2012 (UTC)
