The sad part is, most of the kids who use the skatepark don't remember Opryland and the "Wabash Cannonbowl" and "Angle Inn" carry no special meanings for them. Sad indeed.
The skatepark doesn't seem to have an official name, although The Tennessean likes to refer to it as the "Metro Nashville Skatepark" (See "Skateboarders never look at weather report" 2007-02-08 for example). A lot of skateboarding sites call it "Concrete Wave Country", but this seems to be a nickname given to it by skaters. Maybe someone should suggest an official name for Metro to designate it as.
