surname
[edit]Re: "It is purely coincidental that he shares his surname with that of the character Hermione Granger" - what else could it possibly be?Hobson 22:28, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
- I'm not convinced the comment is worth restoring to the article, though I read it as a small joke. It might be that an HP obsessive had changed his name for reasons best known to himself. Ever heard of Sydney Harbour-Bridge? Sandpiper 21:06, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
Teaching
[edit]Previously he taught Latin and English at The Asheville School, Peninsula College, Valley Forge Military Academy, and Chimacum High School.
I am doing some research to verify, but I do not believe that John taught at Chimacum High School. While living in Port Hadlock, Washington, John taught private classes for homeschoolers out of his basement. These included Latin, English and formal logic. He also taught SAT-prep courses for Peninsula College. --Pugettia (talk) 18:17, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
- Did some checking with primary sources, and can't verify that John taught at Chimacum. Sandpiper, do you have a pertinent reference? --Pugettia (talk) 01:29, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
