This page needs some work, it has some inaccuracies and missing info. Don't have time today but I will try to help.....--Pmeisel 14:53, 8 Feb 2005 (UTC)

This page has almost no truck transmissions, why? --DTW May 24, 2012 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.125.207.4 (talk) 16:33, 24 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Missing 1980-ish internal linkage transmissions fine and coarse input shaft rear drive (I don't remember Ford designation) BW T5 was used in many more applications than listed and had a number of variants. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.216.216.6 (talk) 14:52, 11 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Where's the B6?

[edit]

The article on the Ford Fiesta includes a reference to the G6 transmision for the 2017 model.

Currently it's a dab reference (needs fixing) because there is no article or reference to the G6 transmision anywhere. Is the G6 a type of transmision or a reference to a car model? If it's a Ford transmission, I don't see it mentioned anyway in this list. Should it be included here? Coastside (talk) 21:51, 31 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The B6 (I can't find "G6" on the page) is a Ford 6 speed manual transaxle. [1] Toasted Meter (talk) 02:44, 1 January 2020 (UTC)'[reply]
@Toasted Meter: Dang. I meant "B6". I correction the section title here to avoid confusion. I don't see "6-speed manual transaxle" on this page. Is it under a different name? The Fiesta is not listed at all in the Manual section. it's only listed under Automatic and Semi-automatic.Coastside (talk) 22:14, 1 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
It's not on this page, the manual seems to be used on the Fiesta ST. Toasted Meter (talk) 22:15, 1 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Toasted Meter: Do you think it's the same as the 6MTT250? That appears to be a Getrag transmission (see a reference here) Coastside (talk) 01:31, 2 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think its the 6MTT250, 250 stands for the torque rating in N⋅m and the ST makes 290 N⋅m. The 6MTT331 would make more sense but I can't find a source saying that it's used. I also can't find a source calling the 1.5 ST's gearbox B6. Toasted Meter (talk) 02:49, 2 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
