[edit]Notable only as the wife of a notable person. RickK 20:07, Oct 26, 2004 (UTC)
- hmm, I'm sort of neutral. She may be notable in her own right whilst being better known as the wife of someone (Cherie Booth and Emma Darwin spring to mind), but if not redirect to her husband, and this then might be resurrected later, if appropriate whilst preserving the page's history. - Note: I've moved the article from the title Helen Neil to Helen Mackenzie, on the principle that if it were kept, the article should be under the title most likely to be searched for (and for a woman who's mainly notable as the spouse of a 19th-century politician, that's her married name.) This should not, however, be construed as a keep vote. We do have articles for the Spouses of the Prime Ministers of Canada, but I'm neutral in this case because she died not only well before Mackenzie was PM, but before Mackenzie even entered Canadian politics (although he was already a notable newspaper editor). Just some context for the discussion. No vote. Bearcat 23:34, 26 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- Delete. I see nothing in the article to merit keeping it. If someone were to expand it in such a way that her notability became clear, I would consider changing my vote. Indrian 01:39, Oct 27, 2004 (UTC)
- Merge and redirect to Mackenzie himself. Unless there is something to say aside from her marriage and seeming servitude to his reproduction, there is no reason to have an article on her. This article is about the adjunctive to the PM. I'm sure she deserves better, and the redirect can be broken at the point at which someone has it to say. Geogre 03:40, 27 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- Keep. Notable as a wife is notable enough. anthony 警告 02:10, 30 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- Keep - David Gerard 12:50, 31 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- Merge and redirect until some evidence is provided of some notable achievement other than marrying Mackenzie. John FitzGerald 14:39, 11 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- Keep, appears to be notable enough for Wikipedia. [[User:Radman1|RaD Man (talk)]] 23:58, 11 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- Keep. It is a start to an article worthy of keeping. --YUL89YYZ 14:17, Nov 12, 2004 (UTC)
