Major penalties, penalty shots?
[edit]"Goaltenders never go to the penalty box, and would either have their penalty time served by proxy or (in the case of a 5-minute major penalty) face a penalty shot."
Hmm, I've certainly never heard of a goaltender facing a penalty shot when receiving a major penalty. Do we have a reference here? What rules body is this?
Rugby league penalty box
[edit]If the NRL don't use yellow cards to signify that the player has to go to the sin bin, then how do they make their intentions clear? Do they use hand signals? Scott Gall 10:22, 26 August 2006 (UTC)
Fixed. On a similar note, why is the article for Rugby in Penalty Box, in both union and league i have only ever heard it called the sin bin. --Mcgrath50 08:14, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
airport usage
[edit]At some airports (at least O'Hare), a departing flight which has missed its assigned departure window will be sent to a pad on the airfield to wait rather than blocking its departure gate; this area is known as the "penalty box" and labeled as such on charts. At O'Hare planes may be sent there for supplemental deicing. 216.113.47.20 (talk) 04:02, 25 March 2024 (UTC)
