I find that with certain authors I tend to re-read their novels rather than turn to a new one in a 'security blanket' fashion no doubt. The downside with a whodunnit is that it takes the shine off subsequent readings when you know whodunnit. Dead Famous is one example. Stormingly good as it is, I tend to skirt around it for this reason. Just read Past Mortem. Wonderful novel. As ever, wholly rounded characters (Ben never did a two-dimensional one), brilliant plot line and full of thought-provoking issues. Lighter on comedy than some of his previous but no worse for it. The whodunnit element may mean slightly less revisits but, I'll be back!
