LINKS NEED FIXING MANY ARE BROKEN —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.184.100.190 (talk) 01:40, 21 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This is Erik Bethke, and I was the lead designer of this game. I am tired of Quicksilver keeping changing the developer credit back from Interplay. I cancelled the project from them and moved it in house to Interplay in the summer of 2008. When I took over the project from Quicksilver they spent over $400,000 to make a very sad black and white, turn-based prototype. —Preceding unsigned comment added by ErikBethke (talkcontribs) 10:19, 2 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Question: Wasn't the title Starfleet Command? In the interest of continuity with other games (specifically Star Trek games) is there a way to change the title of this wikipage (to either Starfleet Command or Star Trek: Starfleet Command)? Post thoughts here.

You can move the content of this page to Starfleet Command and set this page to redirect there. Christopher Parham (talk) 02:30, 2005 May 24 (UTC)
Or rather, apparently, to "Starfleet Command (game)" as the other link goes to describing something in the Star Trek universe itself. Christopher Parham (talk) 02:31, 2005 May 24 (UTC)
Based on looking around the internet the correct name seemed to be Starfleet Command, so I went ahead and moved it. Christopher Parham (talk) 22:48, 2005 May 24 (UTC)

Note: The link "Official game website" at http://www.quicksilver.com/starfleet.php returned "account suspended" for me. Quick google search for "official" site was not fruitful. 129.93.191.96 21:21, 10 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Fleet Cover.jpg

[edit]

Image:Fleet Cover.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Comparasin

[edit]

ST:SC Compared to other RPG's is not a game of managed resources as such, more a game of managed combat. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.131.205.187 (talk) 21:49, 11 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

An Akula-Class?

[edit]

On the front cover of this game, there appears to be an Akula-class vessel in the upper left hand of the cover. It is recognizable for having two nacelles, dorsal and ventral, the dorsal nacelle connected to the saucer, while the other is connected to the a part of the hull that houses the torpedo bays and launchers. This class is never seen in any canonical shows or movies and is never mentioned in books. The only time this is ever mentioned is in Star Trek: Shattered Universe. I recognize this class since I have both the game and have fought against several of these ships, so I know the blind spots of this ship.--98.17.210.14 (talk) 19:14, 12 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, it is. Shattered Universe was going to be one of Interplay's last Trek titles, but the license ran out before they could finish it. It was in development hell for 2 years before TDK picked it up and finished it, and didn't bother to change the designs. I believe this design also appeared in Klingon Academy and Starfleet Academy. Gameplay section

[edit]

While the gameplay section isn't inaccurate, it HAS been lifted wholesale from the Memory Alpha article on this game. Suggest editing or removing it. Carguy1701 (talk) 06:49, 3 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
