Good start! Is any of this stuff operational or is it still in the research stage? -- Viajero 12:48, 8 Nov 2003 (UTC)
- well, i guess Ask Jeeves is pretty operational, but it's a bit on the stupid end (templates), not to say that stupid is bad, just that not as interesting Kowey 13:11, 8 Nov 2003 (UTC)
Wow! Nice to see this grow. Wtg, DMolla. Kowey 10:23, 16 Nov 2003 (UTC)

START ( http://start.csail.mit.edu/ ) is operational and listed with several other web search engines in the article.
There is no specific mention in the article of Wendy Lehnert's QUALM program even though her work is cited in the Roadmap paper (http://www.alta.asn.au/events/altss_w2003_proc/altss/courses/molla/qa_roadmap.pdf)
and is related to the problem discussed in the Wilson Wong paper that is cited as a reference.
There is no mention of PIQUANT or JAVELIN.

Answer Questioning
[edit]The entire "Answer Questioning" paragraph in the Deep section is pretty inscrutable. Almost every sentence is complicated, but doesn't seem to actually say much of anything. It also uses an unexplained symbolic system, one example being "1(Q) = (∞(A)-∞) = 1(A)". What is this supposed to mean? Can someone rewrite the whole paragraph? - dcljr (talk) 22:35, 24 February 2011 (UTC)
Low quality article
[edit]I tagged this for a rewrite. Is a disaster or errors... Just take the simplest issue, it says: "The first QA systems were developed in the 1960s and they were basically natural-language interfaces to expert systems" But as the Wikipage on expert systems states (one of the few correct statements there!), those only appeared in the 1970s. Then the comedy of errors here continues... History2007 (talk) 23:13, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
