User talk:David Glad
Hey there
Just wanted to know why you called the link to Unix's founding fathers 'misleading' on the Dennis Ritchie article. I wouldn't have thought it was misleading, and it is a reference to the article. Could you clarify.
Thanks in advance, Xamian 12:32, 4 Aug 2004 (UTC)
I called it "misleading" because there were two external links titled "Unix's founding fathers", one that actually went to the economist's article, while the other someone just added in later that had no relevance to the article and was just for a hosting site or something (sy4host.com). I would assume the person added the "misleading link" to boost the site's (sy4host.com) ranking on search engines or stuff of that nature as I have read on Slashdot.
Thanks for reading this and please correct me on what I should call it (also said "misleading link" when it came to the Jef Raskin article too) if there is a better word or phrase. Just thought that following the link I removed would speak for itself. David Glad 7:45, 6 Aug 2004 (UTC)
