Does anybody out there know anything about HAROLD TROTTER, a fictional pig in a children's story? The gist is that he left home for adventure, but did not eat very well as a result and so returned home as a "very thin pig". The cover picture of Harold on the doorstep with his ribs showing through was amusing, or distressing, according to one's age. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.253.64.17 (talk) 07:33, 3 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Google him. "Obscure" children's books usually turn out to be much more well-known than one would expect. --Mothperson 04:04, 10 Jun 2005 (UTC)

What the? it seays something about a red phantom pig in "the amityville horror" ?? what does any pig have to do with the amityville horror?

The fact that said red-eyed pig is listed under "Pigs in Literature" rather than "Pigs in Film" suggests that the pig is from the 1977 novel "The Amityville Horror", rather than one of the films that you may have seen. UranianPoet 16:14, 25 April 2010

non-notable fictional pigs in literature

[edit]

I have just removed a number of non-notable fictional pigs in literature entered be spas and/or vandals, pigs that yield nothing after a google search. Coolabahapple (talk) 10:09, 20 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

There's a pig in "restaurant at the end of the world" part of the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy series by Douglas Adams. It even has dialogue so worth mentioning. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.142.67.102 (talk) 08:06, 15 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Barnyard Commandos

[edit]

An update should be made to Section 4 In Toys and Section 3.1 Animation to include the 1990 cartoon series Barnyard Commandos, based on the action figure line of the same name produced in 1989. The series "is based around the concept of farm animals who consumed radioactive materials left over from an abandoned military experiment, mutating them into hyper-intelligent, anthropomorphic paramilitary troops. This consists of two "hilariously harmless" opposing teams: the R.A.M.S. (Rebel Army of Military Sheep) and the P.O.R.K.S. (Platoon of Rebel Killer Swine)." Barnyard Commandos

Pigs included in the series are General Hamfat Lardo, Private Side O'Bacon, Sergeant Shoat N. Sweet, Captain Tusker Chitlins, Corporal Hy Ondahog, Staff Sergeant Blaster McBacon, Major Piggyback Gunner, and Captain Hogg Wilde. 2600:1700:EF50:59D0:918C:B696:8BBA:2E29 (talk) 11:41, 29 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
