I was born in 1970 on a U.S. Army base near Heidelberg, Germany. I'm a dual national (Dutch/U.S.) owing to my mother's Dutch citizenship. I grew up in Wilmington, Delaware and Amsterdam, The Netherlands. I've also lived in Sparks, Nevada, Reno, Nevada, Las Vegas, Nevada, Blue Diamond, Nevada, Greeley, Colorado and Chicago, Illinois. I've attended the University of Chicago, University of Nevada, Las Vegas and graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno in 1995, and again in 2005 with a master's degree. I'm married, with four kids. I live in Seattle, Washington.
