Mudvayne

[edit]

Can we get Mudvayne added to this page as representing Peoria? Wavejunkies 21:46, 31 December 2008 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wavejunkies (talkcontribs)

"Indie" needs to be merged with "alternative." Mostly because the "indie" section reads like it was written by a 5th grader, and isn't really all that notable on its own. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.41.196.227 (talk) 18:31, 29 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Punk Rock section
[edit]

This is confusing: "Another gay bar, Oz, soon opened and began catering to the burgeoning hardcore punk scene as local bands like Naked Raygun, Big Black, Strike Under and, most famously, The Effigies, formed." None of these bands play hardcore punk or have anything to to do with the hardcore punk scene (unless you count ALL punk as being hardcore punk, which it is not). Hardcore punk is very different in sound, scene and attitude from regular Punk Rock or pop punk. Naked Raygun=Punk Rock, Big Black=noise/art rock, Strike Under=emo, The Effigies=pop punk/punk rock. Most of these might pass as falling under the general "punk" classification, but Can anyone prove that any of the Chicago bands which play the hardcore punk style played at this club? (Examples: Charles Bronson, Los Crudos, etc) If not, then it should not say that this club was involved in the hardcore punk scene.--71.201.136.52 (talk) 11:49, 4 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

removed apostrophes in decade name per Basic_copyediting added "19" to 60's, as this indicates century as well.

Euro Express Band

[edit]

The Euro Express Band is based out of Chicago, but they also cater to events in neighboring states Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, et cetera. (My personal favorite is their cover of Das Fliegerlied.) --Lo Ximiendo (talk) 16:16, 25 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
