Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Bitch slammer
Bitch slammer was proposed for deletion. This page is an archive of the discussion about the proposed deletion. This page is no longer live. Further comments should be made on the article's talk page rather than here so that this page is preserved as an historic record. The result of the debate was to delete.
This page was VfD'd before (vote tally was 7 keeps with 6 suspected sockpuppets to 8 deletes) and the anons have brought it back. Old discussion can be found in this archive. Can we speedy this as having failed VfD before, or must we vote again? (It's a nonnotable recipie, barely suitable for Wikibooks.) PMC 00:30, 17 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- Delete, but yes, we need another vote. The content of the page is significantly different this time around. The text of the deleted version was:
- A mixed drink prepared by pouring 2 DL of Vodka into a bottle of sweet sparkling wine. The sparkling wine effectively masks the strong alcohol flavor of the Vodka, making it hard to detect.
- Delete, seems like the only intent of the article is to get laughs at the idea of a "bitch slammer", which is not even a commonly used name for the thing. I much prefer the name "Bolly Stoli" myself, and that still isn't well known enough to deserve an article. Shane King 01:24, Nov 17, 2004 (UTC)

- Delete: Quoting every horror movie heroine, "Why .. won't .. you .. die?" Non-notable recipe submitted for the "it says fart in the dictionary" value. Geogre 05:19, 17 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- Delete Not only is the name is quite offensive, but it's in the wrong place... [[User:Squash|Squash (Talk)]] 05:47, Nov 17, 2004 (UTC)
- Offensive names are not a criterion for deletion (unless they are POV). — David Remahl 05:49, 17 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- Merge with the brief description of the drink in Tourism in Finland where it is linked and relevant, and then go to List of cocktails, where it would just be redlined and bound to return anyway, and transwiki over to Wikibooks, hopefully to be followed by fellow drinks. Then delete. Samaritan 05:48, 17 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- Before voting, I think we need to consider precedent. Prarie_Fire was kept (discussion here: [1]). No vote. Mackensen (talk) 05:49, 17 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- "prarie fire" tequila gives 460 hits on Google. "bitch slammer" vodka gives 3 (1 Wikipedia, Tourism in Finland and one wikipedia mirror List of coctails). — David Remahl 05:53, 17 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- I've transwiki'd it to Wikibooks:Cookbook:Bitch Slammer. Suggest keep and redirect to cocktail. -- Netoholic @ 05:55, 2004 Nov 17 (UTC)
- I agree with transwiking the thing to Wikibooks. I think it's a valid cocktail, hope more will follow --Yoyito 16:38, 17 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- clear delete now it's been transwikied. Mozzerati 20:22, 2004 Nov 17 (UTC)
- Delete. No reason to keep now that it's in Wikibooks. [[User:Dpbsmith|Dpbsmith (talk)]] 00:02, 18 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- Delete. Almost all cocktail recipes are on the wrong side of the line. Wile E. Heresiarch 06:28, 18 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- Unless more information on history, notability, facts can be added, delete - Ta bu shi da yu 00:48, 22 Nov 2004 (UTC)
Note: Ohyob removed] all delete votes but one, which he changed to keep. — David Remahl 06:15, 23 Nov 2004 (UTC)
