Bernardo Javalquinto-Lagos
[edit]Hello, I noticed your notability edit for Bernardo Javalquinto-Lagos. I have added sources that indicate the subject is running independently as a presidential candidate in Chile and have updated the page with sources. Please follow up if more sources are required. Bidding for presidential candidacy is newsworthy and the primarily sourced articles in Spanish verify the claim and push the subject over the notability threshold.

Thanks for the advice
[edit]Yes, I known about the last start on the Bolivian CoA, but unfortunately the flag was draw in that way. It was the closest thing to the Peru-Bolivian Confederacy Flag, and I found it on the internet. Also, The article is a stub right now, but I also said That I will not forget about the Chilean involvement on its dissolution. If you have any interesting detail or information, feel free to post it on the talk page. Modifications can be. Thanks Messhermit 05:01, 10 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Héroes_chilean_miniseries.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Héroes_chilean_miniseries.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rettetast 19:27, 14 September 2007 (UTC)

Foto de Piñera
[edit]Estimado, B1mbo, la foto que sigues poniendo de Piñera es estéticamente inadecuada para el artículo en cuestión, te lo he dicho ya en innumerables oportunidades. Por favor no insistas. Pristino (talk) 03:24, 11 December 2009 (UTC)
- First of all, there are no rules supporting what you're doing. Using professional and official photoshoots is the recomended thing instead of an amateur, blurred and moved image. WP:IMAGE says clearly: Poor quality images (too dark, blurry, etc.) or where the subject in the image is too small, hidden in clutter, ambiguous or otherwise not obvious, should not be used. Instead, you're boycotting Wikipedia changing the things in all the other languages and uploading a copy of the image even after the image was protected. --B1mbo (talk) 05:20, 11 December 2009 (UTC)
- The photo is neither dark nor blurry. Please stop changing the photo as you will inevitably get the article blocked just in time for the election, which will frustrate us both. As you have done most of the editing on the Spanish version and have barely touched the English version, it would seem that it is you who is trying to boycott this article by coming here and constantly changing the photo but contributing nothing else to the article. You should have noticed by now that I haven't gone to the Spanish-language version of the article to constantly change the photo of Piñera the way you do here. Do you want to call for a third opinion here? Pristino (talk) 00:50, 12 December 2009 (UTC)

[edit]Hi, thanks for updating the map for Pokemon Go! I noticed that you left out French Guiana though, perhaps because it was removed from the map before. Now that all of South America is reported to be able to play, with no special mention that French Guiana is being excluded, I think it's safe to colour in French Guiana as well. [edit]Opinion polling for the 2021 Chilean presidential election moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Opinion polling for the 2021 Chilean presidential election, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. ... discospinster talk 21:19, 8 March 2021 (UTC)

Sources
[edit]Hi. Without going into too much detail, simply look at the first link, this pdf, it's a 27 page document. That means that a researcher would have to scroll through the entire document to find out what in it supports the data in the table. Onel5969 TT me 01:29, 14 April 2021 (UTC)
- Are you serious? The template clearly mentions "This article relies largely or entirely on a single source" when each and every single of the polls is linked to its source. Sure, most of the documents have a lot of data but doesn't make it unusable (especially if you just do something as simple as looking up for keywords like "presidencial" or the name of a candidate which is pretty obvious for anyone that has a basic knowledge of PDF) or invalid. In fact, even if you use footnotes that doesn't necessarily means it will be automatically better, because then you will have to add the exact page where the data comes from and, while recommended, it is not mandatory.
- Most of the pages that collect opinion polls use the exact same format because it is easier to navigate and use compared to tons of citations and footnotes: here, here, here, here, here... --B1mbo (talk) 01:53, 14 April 2021 (UTC)

[edit]Lead image at Gabriel Boric
[edit]Hi there. Just a quick note that I reverted your recent edit to this article since you seem to have made it under the false assumption that Wikipedia should give preference to "official" images. However, per our guideline at MOS:LEADIMAGE, the image should be "what our readers will expect to see". Since most images from during and after the election show him wearing glasses, an image with glasses fits this requirement best. If you disagree, please voice your reasons on Talk:Gabriel Boric, keeping in mind that official campaign material has no preferential status on Wikipedia. Regards SoWhy 16:25, 20 December 2021 (UTC)
